# HTC Fit
The HTC Fit utility is used to fit the heat transfer coefficients. The heat transfer coefficients are the boundary conditions used to define the heat transfer for a specific piece of equipment. The HTC's can be fit as a constant, a function of part surface temperature, or as a function of time in the case of gas quenching. To use the HTC Fit utility, the user would need to provide experimental data, a .DAN file to define the geometry and part surface, then use the utility to generate an input file.
