# Experimental Data

The **Experimental Data** section allows the user to either load in the data file or define the conditions for plotting

## Conditions for Fitting

**File Type**

* Defines the type of data file to fit for
* The two file types currently supported are the DANTE file format or JMatPro format

**Load DAT File**

* Loads in the experimental data to fit the plastic parameters

**Open DAT File**

* Opens the experimental data file for viewing

**New DAT File**

* Generates a Data\_File\_Template.DAT in the current working directory
* The file generated serves as a template for the DANTE data format

## Conditions for Plotting

**Max Strain**

* Sets the maximum amount of strain to calculate on the stress/strain plot
* This input is required for all plotting methods

**Strain Rate (1/s)**

* Sets the strain rate for the analysis
* The range will be defined by minimum and maximum strain rate inputs
* Strain rates will be analyzed at the defined minimum and maximum

**Temperature (**<sup>**o**</sup>**C)**

* Sets the temperature for the analysis
* The range will be defined by the minimum and maximum temperature inputs
* Temperature will be analyzed at the defined minimum and maximum

**Carbon Level**

* Sets the carbon percent for the analysis
* The range will be defined by the minimum and maximum carbon level inputs
* Carbon will be analyzed at the defined minimum and maximum
